RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing a team of System Administrators under Workgroup Tower
Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to the team
Actively monitoring the performance and stability of all the production systems under Workgroup Tower using your analytical skills to anticipate future problems and resolve them effectively
Monitoring, maintenance and support of Microsoft Windows and Linux based servers, ensuring standards are maintained- providing infrastructure services including Data Centre, Linux, Windows, Active Directory, WINS, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, Proxy, WSUS, Symantec SEP, OVM and other services operating on physical and virtual environments
Troubleshooting and resolving problems with other tower teams, vendors, and commercial business colleagues
Root cause investigation of incidents and the implementation of solutions to prevent them from re-occurring
Provide excellent service, problem determination and resolution within agreed SLA
Monitor and report on key SLAs and KPIs
Provide management information and represent the team at service reviews
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are essential, including with little initial knowledge of a problem
Promote a service centric team with the primary aim of delivering high quality service
Documenting systems and communicate technical knowledge to colleague
Ability to learn new things quickly is essential

Participate in an on-call work structure for out of hours support

QUALIFICATIONS:
Recognized Degree in Computer Science/IT or other related disciplines
Working knowledge of IP networks and associated hardware
Industry experience working within and supporting Linux and Windows environments with at least 5 years of working experience, and at least 2-3 years in a supervisory/management role
Data Centre experience is a plus
MCSE/RHCE certification preferred but not compulsory
