Job Summary
The Technical Pre-Sales Engineer will work with the sales team in a pre-sales role to qualify, manage and close sales opportunities.
The Technical Pre-Sales Engineer performs comprehensive discovery, analysis, and definition of client issues and documents implementation in the form of a technical (“blue-print”) solution. The Technical Pre-Sales Engineer will design leading-edge solutions containing a wide variety of technologies.
During the qualifying process, confirm that product and/or solution meet the prospect’s requirements and assist sales in technical qualification. Throughout the proposal process, articulate and demonstrate solutions, influence customer’s technical
requirements, and position products and/or solutions relative to competition.

Job Duties Solutioning:
Meet customers, collect and understand their requirements clearly related Software, Applications, Servers, Storage, Networking, High-Availability, Mobility, etc.
Document the Customer requirements and provide/design appropriate Solution with Design Diagrams, Blueprint, Solution proposal, Presentation proposal or any other document that will be required.
Tender/RFP/RFI Responses:
Prepare Technical Responses to Tender/RFP/RFI.
Review Technical Responses from Vendors for Tender/RFP/RFI. Must make sure the Vendor’s responses are accurate, complete and fulfill the requirements.
Prepare and review Technical Architectures, Proof of Concept, Costing and Budgeting.
Proposals:
Prepare and review Proposals.
Prepare Standard Templates and Content for In-house Software Solutions and other standard solutions so a Standard Proposals can be send out within 2 working days with minor changes.
Continuously update the content of these standard proposals every 2-3 Months.
Marketing Materials:
Prepare and review Marketing Materials for In-house and other standard Solutions.
Prepare and review Product Brochures.
Continuously updates the Marketing Materials every 2-3 Months.
Pre-Sales Consultation:
Support Sales Team for Pre-Sales Consultation.
Identify/Suggest/Review appropriate solutions for new/existing Leads/Customers.
Prepare/Review/Conduct Pre-Sales Presentations.
Obtains and Secure Confidence of Sales Team & Customer that the Solution is appropriate and fits their needs.
Confidently present industry and domain focused expertise and convey understanding and professionalism to prospective Customers.
Prepare and demonstrate business benefits of proposed solution. Prepare ROI of the Proposed Solution for prospective Customers.

Others:
Create and deliver initial high level technical presentations to customers, at all levels within their organization.
Identify client requirements: (technical requirements, client infrastructure, configuration, and requirements) and technical design (including solution configurations and diagrams).
Maintain technical competence by keeping abreast of new product
enhancements and product/solution best practices.
Develop system implementation estimates and understand delivery needs for overall solution.
Provide estimates for Solution deliverables, the associated resources required for success and delivery to those estimates.
Skills
Proven track record in Implementation (hands-on), Project Management and Presales on Turnkey Software projects.
Proven track record of proposing, building, and deploying technical solutions.
Proven experience in providing complex and heterogeneous system solutions from multiple vendors.
Basic knowledge on IT Infra projects consisting of Operating Systems (Linux, UNIX, Solaris and MS Server Operating systems), Servers (Intel, SPARC, POWER), Storage (EMC, HITACHI, etc; SAN/NAS), Backup and High-Availability solutions (NetApp, VERITAS, etc) , Virtualization like VMware.
Outstanding pre-and post-sales account management and follow-through skills, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.
Experience designing and presenting technical solutions to meet customer requirements.
Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Prior technical sales support experience.
Team player.
Must have excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
Detail oriented, multi-tasking, and able to deal with tight deadlines and stress.
Must be fast leaner and able to learn new technologies quickly.

Qualifications:
Education/Certifications/Experience Degree in any IT or Engineering related field.
3+ years’ experience as an Implementation Engineer.
