Responsibilities:
You will report to the Executive Editor and undertake an array of editorial tasks and news reporting responsibilities for our publications. These will Include conducting interviews, writing, editing, copy editing and proof-reading. You will need to:
Be involved in the reporting of dailySME news
Write with a SME business angle
Arrange and conduct interviews, as well as attend media functions and SME-related events
Develop creative news and feature ideas for the newspaper

Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master’s Degree, Advertising/Media, Linguistics/Languages, Mass Communications or equivalent.
Proficiency in English is a must
At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the NEWSPAPER or news broadcast industry, with preference being given to those from a business environment or his/her belf as a lifestyle writer
Be able to write profile pieces as well as lifestyle articles
Able to work within a deadline-driven environment
Good research, interviewing, reporting, and writing skills
A self-starter with a passion for a long-tem career in the editorial and / or journalism field
